Maine Art & Design dinner in Freeport a rousing success!

Thanks to everyone who attended our Thos. Moser MAINE ART & DESIGN DINNER held last night at the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport.

We had a great turnout of customers and friends that all contributed to an evening that was fascinating, inspiring, and another reminder of why we are in Maine.  We would especially like to thank the incredibly talented and creative artists and designers who shared their stories with us...

After mingling and sharing a glass of champagne in the Map Room just off the main lobby, our group was invited up to the second floor to visit the Thos. Moser Room, a guest room that our team designed in collaboration with the Inn and is furnished with Thos. Moser designs. The room also features the work of local artists, many of whom have graciously loaned us pieces for catalog and product photography (CLICK HERE to see more photos of the Thos. Moser Room).

We then proceeded to the Maine Dining Room for dinner and discussion. The format for the evening was to have each of the five artists and their guest each start out at a different table, and then move from table-to-table as each course was served, so each of the folks in attendance had the opportunity to spend some time with each one. Also throughout the evening, each artist and designer stood and gave a short presentation about their work, influences, past/current/upcoming projects, and future endeavors. By all accounts the evening was a rousing success.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the great one-on-one conversations, the presentations from the artists and designers that gave us all a glimpse into what drives their creative spirits and informed us a bit more about their bodies of work, the intimate atmosphere of the Inn, and the wonderful menu that was prepared especially for this evening by Chef Eric Flynn (who also took the time to come out to discuss his background and describe the menu and influences behind his choices as a Chef/artist…very informative and appreciated!).

Special thanks to the artists and designers, you inspire us every day! Also thank to the Harraseeket Inn for being such spectacular hosts, and kudos to the staff at our Freeport Showroom, Steve Wyman, Laurie Perzley, Lyndall Klein and Michael Brown for pulling it all together!

Stay tuned, we'll be doing this again soon!
