We are proud to announce that we have taken two prizes in the first annual Spark Awards, a multi-level design competition that recognizes new processes and technology and seeks to involve people and ideas from untapped sources.
In the Furniture and Outdoor category the Hawthorne Chair, founder and designer Tom Moser’s first new chair design since 2003, took a Silver Award, and Tom’s son David Moser won a Gold Award for his Edo Trestle Table. The awards were announced on June 9 at the Art Center College of Design’s Wind Tunnel Event Hall in Pasadena, California.

We'd like to say thanks to the folks at Style Chicago for calling our Chicago showroom one of their favorite places in Chciago!
Our first four-year class of apprentices received their journeyman certificates at a special ceremony at our workshop on July 11. We are proud to be the first company in the state of Maine to institute a registered cabinetmaker apprenticeship program. Congrats to George Colby Jr. of New Gloucester, George Estabrook of Auburn, and Andrew Pinkham of Oxford, who nhave all been building furniture here for about the last decade.
