About the book:
For over a decade, Dominique Browning, editor-in-chief of House & Garden, had been embroiled in the Condé Nast empire where back-stabbing was elevated to an art form, “an elaborate corporate kabuki.” But one Monday morning in 2007, the magazine folded and she was told to pack up her office. Overnight her driven, purpose-filled days vanished.
With her children leaving home, and a long relationship ending, the structure of her life disappeared. After losing the job that defined her, Browning fell into a panic of loss ¾ and along the way discovered a deeper joy than any she had ever known.
Uproariously funny and unabashedly self-deprecating, Browning’s journey to self-discovery is one that resonates with many readers and makes them laugh out loud. SLOW LOVE is about wearing your pajamas to the farmer’s market, playing piano at four in the morning, and learning to love an unexpected, unanticipated life.
About the author:
For over a decade, Dominique Browning was the editor-in-chief of House & Garden. She currently writes a column for the Environmental Defense Fund and blogs at SlowLoveLife.com. She is the author of Around the House and In the Garden and lives in New York City and Rhode Island.
Check out the video of Dominique on ABC News launching her book.
We look forward to seeing you at the event!
